Founded in 1933, the Roo News, formerly the University News, is published by students of the University of Missouri in Kansas City. It is distributed free of charge to the University, Plaza, Westport, Brookside, Midtown and Downtown areas. The University News changed its name to UMKC Roo News.

At said "ghetto Wendy's," Bomgardner encountered a female drive-thru employee with "terrible grammar" and a "strong accent" who "stuttered through her gold rack of teeth"...
