WBTV TV 3 is a TV station in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA airing CBS network programs, local news and weather.
The station is an affiliate of the CBS Television Network.
WBTV TV 3 began broadcasting on July 15, 1949. It was owned by Jefferson Standard Insurance Company of Greensboro. Jefferson Standard merged with Pilot Life in 1968 and became Jefferson-Pilot Corporation. In 2006, Jefferson-Pilot merged with Lincoln National Corporation of Philadelphia. Lincoln retained Jefferson-Pilot's broadcasting division, which was renamed Lincoln Financial Media. WBTV remained the flagship station. Lincoln Financial sold WBTV to Raycom Media on March 25, 2008.

WBTV has the best overall programing, but the worst quality and "up time" of all the channels that I watch.
