WBTV TV 3 is a TV station in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA airing CBS network programs, local news and weather.
The station is an affiliate of the CBS Television Network.
WBTV TV 3 began broadcasting on July 15, 1949. It was owned by Jefferson Standard Insurance Company of Greensboro. Jefferson Standard merged with Pilot Life in 1968 and became Jefferson-Pilot Corporation. In 2006, Jefferson-Pilot merged with Lincoln National Corporation of Philadelphia. Lincoln retained Jefferson-Pilot's broadcasting division, which was renamed Lincoln Financial Media. WBTV remained the flagship station. Lincoln Financial sold WBTV to Raycom Media on March 25, 2008.

-- January 20, 2011 -- Brigida Mack is now anchor at WBTV TV 3 in Charlotte. She will remain at "On your Side," a crimestopper/problem-solver investigations department of the television station.
