In October 2017, KFFV TV 44 became a MeTV network owned and operated station when it was purchased by Weigel Broadcasting, the owner of MeTV. Before then it was an independent commercial station covering the Seattle/Tacoma market and the greater Puget Sound region into eastern Washington state. It had transmitted programming in different languages including English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean.
On November 15, 2010 the station's call letters and designation were changed from KPST TV 45 to KFFV-TV 44. From 1999 until September 28, 2009 KPST had used the call letters KHCV.
This TV station is owned by Weigel Broadcating.
