The Florida Times-Union is a leading provider of news and opinion for readers and advertisers in north Florida and south Georgia. The broadsheet is widely known as the oldest newspaper in the state. It began publishing as the Florida Times in 1864.

GateHouse Media bought the Times-Union from Morris Communications in October, 2017. On November 19, 2019, the paper became part of Gannett Company when the owner of GateHouse, Japanese conglomerate Softbank Group, bought Gannett and merged it with GateHouse under the Gannett name.
