Sporting News

Sporting News is a USA website covering Sports News.

Sporting News is a digital-only service providing coverage of all major sports, with editions in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Japan. It was published in print until the end of 2012. In 2011, Sporting News took editorial control of AOL's FanHouse website, which was later merged into the Sporting News website.

The service was originally called The Sporting News (TSN) and was established in 1886 by Alfred H. Spink, a director of the St. Louis Browns and former writer for the Missouri Republican newspaper. TSN became the leading American publication covering baseball, to the point that it was known as "The Bible of Baseball." The Spink family sold TSN to Times Mirror in the mid-1980s. In September 2006, American City Business Journals bought the business, and sold it to Perform Group in 2013. Perform Group divested Sporting News and the sports streaming service DAZN in 2018. DAZN Group agreed to sell Sporting News to PAX Holdings, a British investment manager, in December 2020.

This website is owned by PAX Holdings.
