ITV News is a TV station in London, United Kingdom covering local news, sports, business, politics and community events.
ITV News began broadcasting on September 22, 1955 as Independent Television News (ITN). ITN was created by the Independent Television Authority to provide a news service for Independent Television (ITV). In 1967, ITN began producing a half-hour news segment called News at Ten. In 1991, ITN moved into new headquarters and began presenting programs from the ITV newsroom. On March 8, 1999, all ITN programs were re-branded using the name ITV News.
ITV News is produced by Independent Television News (ITN), a business separate from ITV News owner ITV plc. ITN also produces the news programs that air on Channel 4 and Channel 5 in Britain.
