The Metro Courier is a weekly newspaper published to inform, inspire and serve the black community in Augusta, Georgia. The paper was founded in 1983 by Barbara Gordon.

In the Metro Spirit article 'The Metro Courier' standing strong for 30 years, published on September 20, 2013, Stacey Eidson wrote "Gordon does not shy away from the fact that she believes many of the problems facing Augusta are due to its racial divide. "People will say, 'You make everything racial. Why?' The answer is: Because it is," Gordon said."

This publication is a member of the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA), an association of African American-owned community newspapers in the United States.
