The Dodge County News covers local news, events and life in the city of Eastman and across Dodge County in central Georgia.
The newspaper was established in October of 1989. It was the first weekly in Dodge County to publish a full color picture, the first to publish an issue in excess of 100 pages (August 31, 1994), the first to be available via the Internet and the first to publish the entire newspaper online.
On January 1, 2007, The Dodge County News purchased its rival newspaper of 18 years, The Times Journal, from Rosebud Publishing, Inc.
