The Evansville Courier & Press covers local news, events and people in the city of Evansville and across Vanderburgh County and southwestern Indiana.
The Evansville Courier began publication in 1845 and the Evansville Press in 1906. The two newspapers retained separate staffs and editorial policies but published a joint Sunday edition with separate editorial pages. The newspapers continued to publish separate editions until the Evansville Press ended publication on December 31, 1998. The surviving newspaper was renamed the Evansville Courier & Press.
