WGME TV 13 is a TV station in Portland, Maine, USA airing CBS network programs, local news and weather.

WGME TV 13 is the CBS network affiliate station in Portland, Maine broadcasting across southern Maine and eastern New Hampshire. It is the sister station of WPFO TV 23, the Portland Fox affiliate owned by Cunningham Broadcasting. Cunningham is controlled by trusts in the name of Sinclair founder Julian Smith's children and Sinclair uses the company to evade FCC station ownership restrictions.
WGME began broadcasting on May 16, 1954 as WGAN TV. It was owned by Guy Gannett Communications (not related to the Virginia-based Gannett Company), along with WGAN AM 560. When the radio station was sold in 1984, WGAN TV changed its call sign to WGME. It remained the flagship station of Guy Gannett Communications until the company sold most of its television stations, including WGME, to the Sinclair Broadcast Group in 1998.
