The Times Herald Record is the consequence of the merger of three newspapers. In 1926 the Daily Herald and the Times-Press formed the Times-Herald. In the 1960s the Times-Herald merged with the Daily Record giving life to the Middletown Times Herald Record. The "Middletown" was later dropped from the name. Its Sunday edition is called the Sunday Record.

This newspaper would be a better read if they turned it over to a class of 5th Graders.
Both the spelling and grammatical errors are atrocious, and whomever is in charge of this publication should be MORTIFIED they put out such garbage on a regular basis.
