Midtown Monitor

The Midtown Monitor covered local news in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. First published in 1995 as the Tulsa Free Press, in January 2009 owner GTR Media Group renamed the newspaper the Midtown Monitor to better reflect the area it covers. The Monitor is no longer published.

Tulsa Free Press Changes Name to Midtown Monitor
-- As reported by the Greater Tulsa Reporter Newspapers, the newspaper group has changed the name of its midtown edition to the Midtown Monitor from the original name of Tulsa Free Press, the name used since the newspaper's inception in 1995. The purpose of the name change is to better reflect the local target of the midtown edition, which is one of six papers published by GTR Newspapers.
