The Milton Valley Herald is a weekly newspaper in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, USA covering local news, sports, business, politics and community events.

The Milton Valley Herald was founded in 1956 by Charles and Dorothy Heard. The Heards sold their interest in the Herald to Wally and Carolyn Cowen in 1962. The Herald was sold to Dan and Dianne Zimmerman in 1972. In 1982, the Zimmermans sold the Herald to the Eagle Tribune. The Tribune's owners sold the Herald to the East Oregonian Publishing Company. East Oregonian put the newspaper up for sale in 1994. However, the company ended up closing the Herald's doors. The Herald was eventually restarted and changed ownership several more times. It was purchased in 2004 by Melanie Hall and Sharee LaRue-Wright.
