Space City Home Network, formerly AT&T SportsNet Southwest, airs the games of Houston Rockets and Houston Astros along with other sporting events. The channel is available in five states (Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and eastern New Mexico) and presents over 250 live events each year.
The service was formerly known as Root Sports Southwest, and prior to November 2014 as Comcast SportsNet Houston. These services were preceded by Comcast Sports Southwest (CSS), which was shut down in October 2012. CSS had focused on collegiate and high school sports, showing live college football and basketball games from Conference USA, the Sun Belt Conference, and the Southeastern Conference.
SportsNet was a service of WarnerMedia until April 8, 2022, when Discovery, Inc. merged with WarnerMedia to form a new business called Warner Bros. Discovery.
In October 2023, AT&T SportsNet Southwest rebranded as Space City Home Network.
