The Bonham Journal merged with the Fannin County Leader in October 2010. It coverd Bonham and the surrounding communities of Fannin County, Texas. The newspaper was published weekly on Friday and had a circulation of 4,500. The city and county are named, respectively, for James Bonham and James Fannin. Bonham is said to have sought the assistance of Fannin at the Battle of the Alamo.
