WCHS TV 8 is the ABC network affiliate station in Charleston, West Virginia. The station also airs the Fox network on digital subchannel 8.2. WCHS is effectively a sister station of WVAH TV 11 in Charleston, and the two stations share offices and studios.
WCHS began broadcasting in 1954. It has been an ABC affiliate since 1958 and added the Fox network affiliation on February 1, 2021, moving it from WVAH TV 11. However the Fox feed at WCHS TV 8.2 is still branded as "Fox 11."
