The Los Angeles Daily Journal is a daily newspaper in Los Angeles, California, USA covering local legal and court news.
The Los Angeles Daily Journal publishes legal news for California attorneys including recent court actions, regulatory changes, lawsuits and the California law community. It is published by Daily Journal Corporation, which also publishes the California Directory of Attorneys, special supplements on the legal community, the San Francisco Daily Journal and other newspapers for business and legal professionals.
Charles T. ("Charlie") Munger bought the Los Angeles Daily Journal in 1977 and built the company through acquisitions. Until his death on November 28, 2023, Munger was also the vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, the conglomerate chaired by Warren Buffett.
The Journal was originally published in 1888 as The Daily Court Journal.
