The newspaper is published six days a week - Monday through Saturday.

The Visalia Times-Delta overs local news, sports, community events and local opinion in the city of Visalia and across Tulare County and the San Joaquin Valley in central California.

Founded in June 1859, it is the oldest newspaper in the San Joaquin Valley and the sixth-oldest daily newspaper in California. It was originally called the Tulare County Record and Fresno Examiner.

The Visalia Times-Delta was purchased by Speidel Newspapers Inc. in 1948. In 1976, Speidel sold the paper to Gannett Company.

The Visalia Times-Delta shares it newsdesk and staff with its sister paper the Tulare Advance Register.
