KCFR FM 90.1 is a radio station in Denver, Colorado, USA covering local news, sports, business, politics and community events.

The station is an affiliate of National Public Radio (NPR).

KCFR FM 90.1, formerly KCFR AM 1340, is a member-supported public radio station that broadcasts news and talk programming in Denver and across Colorado. Its coverage includes Denver and the surrounding Front Range communities, and the signal reaches most of the state of Colorado through a network of local transmitters and translators.

KCFR began broadcasting on 90.1 FM in 1970 at the University of Denver. In 1991, KCFR merged with KPRN Grand Junction to form Colorado Public Radio (CPR). In 2001 CPR switched to broadcasting news on KCFR 1340 AM and classical music on 90.1 FM. In 2008 CPR moved its news programming to 90.1 FM, and KVOD FM 88.1 became the home of classical music in Denver.

In March 2019, Colorado Public Radio bought Denverite, a digital local news service covering the Denver, Colorado metro area.

I listen to KCFR periodically at work, though lately I've been listening everyday because they have been covering the Democratic National Convention in Denver so well. I like that the station runs almost al the speeches, even those not featured as the most popular speakers. I'm impressed with CPR.
