It is owned by the Observer Media Group, which also publishes the Palm Coast Observer, Siesta Key Observer (formerly the Pelican Press) and Observer newspapers serving Longboat and East County.

The Longboat Observer offers free home delivery to single-family homes on Bird Key, Longboat Key, St. Armands Key, Lido Key and Lido Shores. The newspaper is also delivered to every condominium, resort and commercial building on Longboat Key and Lido Key.

The Observer Media Group is owned by its founders and principals, Matt and Lisa Walsh and their daughter, Emily Walsh. Emily Walsh is the fourth generation of the family in the newspaper business.
