Great Hill formed a new company named G/O Media Inc. to run the businesses.
On April 25, 2024, G/O Media sold The Onion to Global Tetrahedron, a new business led by Twilio co-founder Jeff Lawson. Former NBC News reporter Ben Collins was named the CEO of the company.
