Americablog

Americablog was a USA website covering Politics and Government.

Launched on April 24, 2004 by John Aravosis, Americablog featured left-wing commentary about American politics. It appears to have been shut down in Feburary 2022.

The website was run by Aravosis and other contributors with liberal political views who generally support the Democratic Party.

Americablog first gained notoriety in 2005 when it helped expose Jeff Gannon (real name James Guckert), a member of the White House press corps with little journalistic experience who had a reputation for asking 'softball' questions of then-Press Secretary Scott McClellan. Aravosis, a gay blogger, had a running feud with Guckert, who had worked as a gay male escort.

This website was owned by AMERICAblog Media, LLC.

In addition to a photo of the oil spill crisis command center that BP faked on their Web site, an astute reader found yet another photo of the crisis response that has been faked by BP. This one is of the "top kill" effort to stop the spill a month or so ago. Above and below are parts of the photo that show that BP, yet again, inserted a fake screen behind its...
