The Hill is a USA newspaper covering Politics and Government.
The Hill covers "the intersection of politics and business, connecting Capitol Hill, K Street, Wall Street and Pennsylvania Avenue." It reports on the workings of the U.S. Congress and aims to influence the views of Washington's decision-makers. The Hill publishes three days a weeky during Congressional sessions and only on Wednesday otherwise.
The Hill was founded in 1994 by New York businessman Jerry Finkelstein and Martin Tolchin, a former correspondent for The New York Times. It claims to be read by Washington opinion leaders including The White House, lobbyists, corporate leaders and "100% of Congressional offices."
On August 20, 2021, Nexstar Media Group acquired The Hill for $130 million from Jimmy Finkelstein, the son of The Hill co-founder Jerry Finkelstein. The younger Finkelstein was the owner and the chairman of operating company News Communications, Inc.

Just 11% of Americans Trust TV News
-- A recent Gallup poll says that just 11% of Americans have a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in TV news. The numbers are similar for Republicans (6%) and independents (8%) while higher for Democrats (20%).
Newspapers fared somewhat better, with 16% saying they trust newspaper reporting.
