Philosophical Transactions is a magazine in the United Kingdom covering Science News.

Philosophical Transactions of The Royal Society of London is the oldest scientific journal in continuous publication. It was first published on March 6, 1665 under a charter to publish granted to the Royal Society of London by King Charles II. Since the beginning, the purpose of Philosophical Transactions has been to inform the Fellows of the Society and other interested readers of the latest scientific discoveries. As such, Philosophical Transactions established the important principles of scientific priority and peer review, which have become the central foundations of scientific journals ever since. In 1886, the journal was divided into two, Philosophical Transactions A and B, covering the physical sciences and the life sciences respectively.

This magazine is owned by The Royal Society of London.
