Cape Cod Times Contemplates Charging for Online Content

"Some form of pay-for-content online will happen here, but we still don't know what that is yet" said Peter Meyer, president of the Cape Cod Media Group and the South Coast Media Group. "This is still early in the process of figuring out the formula for what works."
Over the past ten years, the Internet has drastically reshaped the ways in which media consumers receive their news and entertainment.
And for the producers of that news and entertainment, these changes have largely been bad news. Consumers have flocked to free online content, causing circulation and viewership numbers to decline and advertising revenues to plummet."
