Metro Boston Newspaper is Shut Down
-- The free newspaper for Boston commuters was shut down on January 6, 2020. The closure follows the sale of the Metro New York and Philadelphia papers to Schneps Media, a publisher of community newspapers in the New York City area.

Metro Boston editor in chief, Dorothy Robinson, stepped down from her role in May 2014. She was promoted to editor in chief of the of the daily paper in January 2014, when former editor in chief Tony Metcalf passed away in July 2013. Robinson is pursuing other opportunities and will be replaced in an interim capacity by content director Aleksander Korab.
